Inauguration of the 3rd “China Trade Week” Morocco Fair in Casablancaadmin
The 3rd China Trade Week (CTW) Morocco 2019 Fair and the 1st edition of the African technolgy show opened on Monday in Casablanca, in the presence of Moroccan and Chinese professionals looking for business opportunities.
It is a major event held on the initiative of Mie Group Events, that the “China Trade Week” Morocco Fair . This three-day event, which is a global B2B platform dedicated to Sino-Moroccan trade, is attended by more than 150 Chinese exhibitors from different sectors, including the tea industry, construction, agriculture, electricity, electronics, renewable energies, textiles and consumer goods, who have come to promote their products and conclude new partnerships with Moroccan economic operators.
“On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of MIE Groups, we are honored to conclude this year’s CTW season in Morocco by participating in the CTW and the African Technology Fair in Casablanca, a major business metropolis in the Arab world, “said MIE Group CEO David Wang at the opening ceremony for the event.
He said that Morocco-China trade relations have strengthened significantly in recent years. “We are very grateful to Morocco for its perpetual support for the Belt and Road initiative,” continued Mr. Wang, stressing that “the Kingdom is the epicenter of trade between China, Africa, the Middle East and Europe ”. He added that innovation and international trends have always been at the heart of the debate at the MIE Group.
For his part, the vice-president of strategies and partnerships of MIE Group, Ahmed Zahoor, said that this fair brings together great Moroccan and African professionals in the digital landscape, as well as business leaders who aspire to build the future and to contribute to the digital transformation of the African market.
According to him, the CTW Morocco platform embodies the Sino-Moroccan historical relationship that dates back more than 60 years, making China the third largest trading partner of Morocco. For his part, the economic and commercial adviser at the Chinese embassy in Morocco, Jing Ning, stressed that the objective of the Belt and Road initiative is to bring together the cultures and reflections of the countries.
Ning, who praised the opening of the Kingdom and the efforts made to elaborate a new development model, pointed out that the Chinese operators wish to further strengthen economic, commercial and cultural cooperation with Morocco. In addition, the chairman of the Sino-Moroccan commercial council of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM), Mehdi Laraki, indicated that Morocco offers three very important advantages, namely stability and a flourishing economy, proximity to the And the presence on the African markets.
For his part, the founding president of the Club of leaders, Driss Drif, clarified that this event is an opportunity to bring together and federate other Moroccan entrepreneurs so that they develop their activities and exchange their experiences, expertise and know-how .
He also indicated that the leaders’ club is a business and influence hub that unites Moroccan entrepreneurs to develop their business network in a qualitative, secure and efficient manner.
